I planned to run a marathon, I had huge goals. I started to work with Michelle. That was one of the best decisions I ever made. It turned out that I did not run a marathon, I trained and completed two half marathons. It was Michelle that guided me through the stretching, the switching of training options, improving my diet to get me to the goal of running the races without injury. More importantly she listened to me - concerns about flexibility, strength, weight and diet. I can be repetitive, (sorry Michelle). She allowed me to be a little gentler with myself while still working toward my goals. She stressed that 1. It is ok to reset, 2. It is ok to rest. 3. It is ok to blow it out of the park. There are so many different wins. Michelle reminded me that. Michelle is always there to help if you start to struggle, whether it is with nutrition or training. She is 1. Never ending support 2. Full of researched ideas to redirect, and 3. A wonderful support person. My newest goal is to test for Firefighter “1”. I had no idea how hard it would be. I turned to Michelle - I told her of the goal and my fear of not getting strong enough for the physical demands of being a firefighter. And of course she researched the physical demands and came up with a plan that works for me. I am getting stronger by the week, and I am celebrating my wins. I continue to win because of Michelle. I win because she researches, plans, and shares her knowledge in such a kind and encouraging way.
